Elizabeth “Libby” Grimes Keller of Globe, AZ passed away on December 28, 2022 at the age of 86 in her home. The funeral assisted by Lamont Mortuary was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saint Stake Center, December 31, 2022. Burial followed at the Globe Cemetery by her husband High Kerlin Keller of 61 years.
She was born in Silver City, NM to Vernon Nancy Salars and William Frank “Goo” Grimes (both deceased) on March 18, 1935. She grew up in Hurley, NM and was a long time resident of both Silver City and Cliff, NM
Libby is also predeceased by her brother William Frank Grimes Jr. “Billy”, sister Sarah Ellen Miller, sister-in-law Clyda Ferino, son Lloyd Keller, son-in-law C.D. Dill and grandsons Kyle Keller and baby Jared Keller and granddaughter baby Kaytlynn Mikeworth. She is survived by her 3 siblings-JoAnn Passig, Carlsbad, NM; Edwin Ves Grimes, Apache Junction, AZ; Donna Rae Grimes, Silver City, NM; and sister-in-law Jackie Grimes, Deming, NM. Also survived by her 8 children- Donna “Jody” & Calvin Mikeworth, Globe, AZ; Nancy Keller, Lordsburg, NM; Aaron & Diana Keller, Claypool, AZ; Lewis Keller, Apache Junction, AZ; Cheri Fulkerson, Thatcher, AZ, daughter-in-law Bonnie Keller, Iola, TX; James & Becky Keller, Cliff, NM; Rebecca Lynn Keller, Questa, NM; Elizabeth “Libby Lou” Dill, Animas, NM; 41 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren, & 6 great great grandchildren.
Libby was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints wherever she lived and held many different callings. Her priorities in life was shown by the way she lived it- her love of God, this country and her family.
