Donna Lynne Gustafson

Donna Lynne Gustafson, 62, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and sister passed away on May 4 ^th , 2023. She was born March 26 ^th , 1961, to Reed and Marilyn Halverson. She was a fun loving, free spirited little girl. She grew up in Globe and went to Globe Schools. Donna played Volleyball, Basketball, and participated in Track throughout High School. Because of her love of sports, she received many awards and accolades, as well as holding many records.

After High School, she went to Pima College to pursue a teaching degree. She figured out that was not for her, but she found her love of medicine, and became a radiology technician. She moved to Casa Grande for work where she met Tim Gustafson, and they had their daughter Cyndi. When Cyndi was two, Donna got extremely sick, and ended up moving back to Globe with her parents. After some time, Donna was able to walk again, and found work at the local hospital where she went on to work for about 15 years until she physically could not do it anymore. She ended up retiring and enjoyed life.

While her father, Reed was alive, they could be found playing golf on the golf course or talking sports. She could tell you many facts about any sports, things you wouldn’t even think of. Her love of sports never went away. She loved watching Football and Basketball the most. She also loved the outdoors, fishing and pulling weeds, which were some of her favorite ways to relax. In the last few years, it was harder and harder for her to enjoy these activities.

She loved life and talking to her friends and family. She was always a phone call or text away for anyone. She was a great listener and was always there for anyone to talk to. She will be missed terribly.

She was proceeded in Death by her parents, Reed and Marilyn Halverson, and many lifelong friends.

She is survived by her wife, Kathy Harder of Globe; daughter and son-in-law, Cyndi and Will Craigmyle; four grandchildren, Lilly, Thomas, Matthew and Braelynne, all of Globe; her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Dusty Tinnin of Casa Grande., and her two furry children, Iris and Daisy.

Donna will be greatly missed by many but is now not in any more pain or suffering and can do all the fun things she used to do.

Graveside services will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Miami, Arizona.
