Dermont Stevens

Dermont “Muttz” Stevens, 35, of San Carlos, Arizona passed away on June 6, 2020 in San Carlos, Arizona. Muttz was born on December 26, 1984 to Dino and Vernalda Stevens. He was born and raised in San Carlos, and graduated from San Carlos High School in 2003. Muttz was a kind and loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. After high school, he worked at the San Carlos Apache Tribe’s Sawmill where he was a laborer. He loved spending time with family and friends, and loved watching baseball, especially the New York Yankees. He was always ready to give a helping hand and he always had a smile on his face. Muttz is gone way too soon and suddenly. His presence will be forever missed; but it gives the family peace knowing that his soul lives on. Survivors include his dad, Dino Stevens; his mom, Vernalda Stevens; and his siblings: Brandon, Orinda, Joseph, Damon, Cedella, Jahnesta, Dania, Dino Jr., and Julian. Muttz was preceded in death by his grandma, Yvonne Smith, his aunts, Abigail Thompson and Carla Stevens Hopkins, and his uncle, Andre Pado Stevens. A viewing will be held on June 13, 2020 from 9:30—11:00 a.m. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, Arizona, followed by a graveside service at 12:00 p.m. at San Carlos Cemetery.
