Debby Valtierra

Debby Valtierra passed away peacefully after her courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her large family. Debby was born the second eldest of nine children to parents Manuel and Adeline Gonzales. Debby married Art Valtierra and together they would have four children.

Debby believed in God and was strong in faith. She was a caring woman who spent most of her time thinking and doing for her family and friends. Debby was artistic and had a passion for crafting. She would often express as tokens of love, her crafts and making your favorite food. Debby enjoyed having gatherings at her home, making traditional recipes from her childhood. She often thought it funny to not share the recipes when asked. Debby was very comfortable being somewhat of a "bridge" between the generations of our family. She extended herself making connections, sharing information, and meeting and learning of family members and family history. Debby would also make extra effort to capture these moments in pictures. "Dubbed" the family photographer, she would always have her camera so as not to miss the events and celebrations. This too, she would find funny when asked to "share" usually followed with a playful yet sarcastic response.

Debby's biggest joy in life, unmistakably, are her kids, and her grandchildren. They are and will forever be the center of her happiness. Although Debby will be missed every day, we are grateful to know she has gone to a much better place where she will be reunited with those she longed for.

Debby leaves behind her husband Art of 42 years, her children Joe Valtierra, Kasey Perry (AJ) Jordan Valtierra (Destinee) ; Grandchildren Aubrianna, Aaron, Gaige, Brooklyn, Audrina, Kendall, Jace, Aeneas, Ryann and one on the way!

Preceeded in death by Her parents Manuel and Adeline Gonzales, In-laws Alfred and Lydia Valtierra, Daughter Brittney Valtierra & nephew Eddie Verdugo, and many other family members.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2023, from 8:30-9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami, Arizona

Rosary will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2023, from 9:30-10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami, Arizona

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami, Arizona

Interment will follow at Globe Cemetery.
