Davis Kenneth Dude, Sr.

January 29, 1938 — January 19, 2025

Davis Kenneth Dude Sr was born October 29th 1938. He went to Peridot Lutheran Elementary school, and he went to high school at Globe and then transferred to Eastfork Misson Highschool. Where his four sons went to the same school. Our kids have followed the same steps as our uncles by going to Peridot Lutheran. Today our kids would be 4th generation at Peridot Lutheran Elementary. He then went to college at Haskell. He was well versed in music and sports. He played the steel guitar, harmonica, organ and the trumpet. He also was in a band named the Fireballs. What was really amazing is our grandmother said he didn't really read music. He learned how to play everything by ear. He later then went to school with our grandmother at Haskell but hadn't ofiically met. He graduated at Haskell September of '60. He graduated from the vocational school with the title of heavy mechanic machine operator and then relocated to California where he was a mechanic there and came home to propose to our grandmother. He asked her to move with him to Oakland where they stayed for a while and then moved back to Peridot. They started a family of four boys. Davis Dude Jr, Cephus Dude, Wilferd Dude and David Dude Sr. He then worked for forestry as a mechanic and then worked at copper mines where he retired. Lots of stories where told this past week. He played for the Sidewinders. He was a bull rider. He loved to tell jokes. He also did a 24-mile marathon on a 10-speed bike and competed with team riders, had a flat tire, pumped it up and came in second place. He also did another marathon run from San Carlos to Globe. So pure determination runs within our genes. So, as we all get together today, just remember he lived a very full and eventful life. Married a very beautiful lady and they saw places and experienced everything together.
