Corda "Marie" Nelms

Corda Marie Nelms was released into the arms of her heavenly Father, March 3.  Marie’s greatest calling was that of a devoted wife, loving and nurturing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a founding member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and a truly committed Christian woman.Marie was the widow of Carter Nelms, a Globe native.  She is survived by her children Corda (Jon) Colvin, Lee (Norma) Nelms, Don (Kathy) Nelms and Anne (John) Trujillo; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 9, at 1:00PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 750 Paxton Avenue,Miami AZ 85539.   Burial will follow at Mountain Breeze Cemetery. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Savior Hospice & Palliative Care, 4530 E. Shea Blvd., #160, Phoenix, AZ 85028.  Please note “DONATION” on the check
