Charlotte Sue Thorne

Charlotte Sue Thorne age 71 of San Carlos, Arizona passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 at Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, Arizona. She was born in San Carlos, Arizona on May 31, 1949. She was the daughter of Helen (Hizzer) and Fuller Phillips. She worked as a Seasonal Firefighter and was the Crew Boss for the BIA Forestry Department. She attended Rice Elementary School, East Globe School and Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California. She was one of the last Tribal Members to make Cultural Crafts such as moccasins. Charlotte loved working with her hands, she did anything arts and crafts. She enjoyed listening to music, especially classic rock and jazz, playing pool, watching her family play sports and spending time at the Casino. She was preceded in death by her father Fuller Phillips and her husband Allen Thorne Sr. She is survived by her mother Helen Phillips of San Carlos, her children Penny La Grange-Baroldy of Phoenix, Kevin Phillips of San Carlos, Jacques La Grange of Phoenix, John La Grange of Phoenix, Detra Thorne of San Carlos, Allen Thorne, Jr. of San Carlos, Tara Thorne of San Carlos, Anna Thorne of San Carlos, 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be on Monday, June 15, 2020 from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, Arizona. Graveside Services will follow at 4:00 P.M. in San Carlos Cemetery.
