Casper Salter, Sr., age 80, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona. He was born in San Carlos, Arizona on July 28, 1941 to Frank Salter and Mary (Bead) Salter. Casper attended Fort Apache School in San Carlos. He did welding, was a firefighter, janitor, a school bus driver and a silversmith. Casper enjoyed watching the Arizona Diamondbacks and Cardinals football games. He loved taking walks, listening to music, reading the Bible, writing and just talking to friends. He loved his family, his grandchildren and his wife. He was a very proud grandpa of his two grandsons who served in the Army and Marines.
Casper is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Salter, Daughter Gerdine Salter, Brother Danny Salter and a grandson Marley Goseyun.
He is survived by his wife Nellie (Moses) Salter, his children; Merceline Smith, Casper Salter, Jr. and Geraldine Salter, six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three foster children.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 7:00 – 10:00 A.M. at San Carlos Miracle Church, Chinatown area in Peridot, Arizona.
Funeral Services will follow Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at San Carlos Miracle Church in Peridot, Arizona.
Interment will follow at Elgo Dam Cemetery, 7 Mile Wash District, San Carlos, Arizona.
