Carole Lee Mcintyre

Carole Lee McIntyre passed away at her home in Globe, Arizona, on November 20, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born on September 6, 1941, in Mason town, Pennsylvania, to parents, James and Anna Benford. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Arthur McIntyre,Sr. And two granddaughters, Cicely and Sheridan.

Carole is survived by her children, Melinda McIntyre of Meadville, Pennsylvania; Arthur (Buddy) McIntyre, Jr. of Redrock, Arizona; Michelle (John) Powell of Globe, Arizona; and Eric McIntyre of Globe, Arizona. She is also survived by her treasured six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Brother, Jimmy Ben, Ford of Masontown, Pennsylvania, and sister-in-law, Elaine (Larry) Burns of Globe, Arizona; and many other family members and friends.

Carole and Art moved to their family to Globe Arizona in 1976. She found her passion for teaching at Tuffy Tiger Daycare Center, where she worked for 26 years, retiring as the Director of the center. It was a joy for her to see her “Tuffy Kids,” as she called them, in local paper as graduates of high school. Carole was known for her crafting and ceramics, always volunteering for crafts at her church and vacation Bible School. She and Art could always be found at the local craft fairs held in the community.

She was a caring and supportive mom through all her children’s adventures, being a Den Leader for Cub Scouts, a team mom for Tee Ball, and a GHS band booster member, always putting her family’s needs first. Carole will be truly missed by all who knew her and experienced her love. The family would like to thank her caretakers and new friends, Jessica and Sofia, for the wonderful compassion and care they gave their mother in the last part of her life, and her hospice friends, Jill and Kylie. What a blessing all these ladies are.

A memorial service is scheduled for December 7, 2024, at 12 PM at Central Heights Baptist Church, located at 5468 S Apache, Globe, AZ 85501.
