Carlotta Stanley

Carlotta Stanley age 71 of Bylas, Arizona passed away on May 10, 2021 in a car accident. She was born in Bylas, Arizona on November 15, 1949 daughter of Etta Nelson. She worked as a teachers aid for the Peridot Headstart program. She also worked for the Rice Elementary School as a teacher aide/tutor/Apache Culture Teacher. After retirement she worked as a Master Teacher for the Apache Language Preservation. Carlotta enjoyed to cook and spend time with family. She loved attending her church and helping translate Apache Hymns and bible verses. Carlotta attended Bylas Lutheran Mission School, graduated East Fork High School, and got her Associate Degree at Eastern Arizona College. She was preceded in death by her mother Etta Nelson. Carlotta survived by her husband of 51 years Wilfred Stanley, her children; Monica Loas (Earl) of Bylas, Rodney Stanley (Erika) of Topeka, KS, Sandra Nez (Terry) of San Tan Valley, Jason Stanley (Lizatina) of Bylas, Marietta Chapman (Duane) of Peridot, and Angela Dude(Jeremiah) of Globe, Arizona, her two step-children; Timothy Stanley and Lucinda Begay, her sisters; Carla Gilbert of Phoenix, AZ and Sally van Haren of Santa Maria, CA, her brother, Carson Tarango of Bylas, AZ, 20 grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 9:00 – 12:00 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Bylas, AZ Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Stanley Hall in Bylas, Arizona. Interment will follow at Navajo Point Cemetery in Bylas, Arizona.
