Carlos Delma, Jr.

April 5, 1998 — April 9, 2021

Carlos Delma Jr., was born on April 5, 1998 in Globe, AZ and entered into eternal rest on April 9, 2021 at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Az. His survivors include his mother, Bernadine Declay, two sisters: Dacy Delma and Shelby Delma, one brother: Kolby Declay, all of Mesa, Az. He also leaves behind his grandmother: Gloria Declay and uncles: Stephen Declay Jr., Donovan Declay, Casey Rogers Sr., Curley Delma Sr., Basil Kenton Jr., and Benny Cheney. His aunties: Vanta Declay Walling-Bull, Barbara Delma, Velda Kenton, and Beverly Cheney. His education began in Preschool in San Carlos, Arizona and he later attended elementary school in Mesa, AZ. He went on to attend high school at Salt River High School in Scottsdale, AZ. While in school, Carlos was very enthusiastic to participate in Orchestra and played the bass and was excited to play for the school in assemblies and special events. He continued his musical interest throughout his whole education which ended with playing the Bass for the Salt River High School band. That was his passion. Carlos’s loved living in San Carlos in the Skill Center area where he would wonder around in the neighborhood and ride his bicycle as a young boy with his sister, Shelby. There was a time where he rescued and cared for his sister when she rode down a hill and couldn’t stop. She ended up crashing and scrapping her face in the dirt, Carlos ran after her, took car of her and brought her home. He was a loving and caring brother to his siblings. We would cherish that memory on an occasional basis and would laugh about it. Now it brings us tears as we know he is not here to take care of us and be our rescuer. A past time of his was just playing his games on playstation and in the past, the Xbox. He was considered an exceptional and talented “gamer” and would be playing his games almost daily with his little brother, Kolby. You could hear the sound of excitement as they played. Youtube was his favorite as well. He would watch Ghost Adventures, documentaries, and the short films of the supernatural. He also enjoyed listening to various types of music and had favorite songs that he liked and a few of them came from scenes from a movie. When he would rest, he would turn on soothing music to help him sleep. He was also a motivator as his siblings and cousin joined a weight loss contest and would do exercises. As they did work outs in the living room, you could hear Carlos yelling from his bedroom, “You can do it!”, as they were counting down the reps and complaining about the workout, Carlos would be saying, “Two more, Two more”. He encouraged them as they worked out. Another memory that we will cherish. He was a gentle and kind young man. He always said “thank you” when we would care for him. Although his health was a struggle growing up, it was his mother and his siblings who did all that they could for him, made sure he was fed and gave him stuff that he needed. He depended on us for his comfort and care. He was the son and the brother that we dearly loved. He always cherished his dad and his aunties along with his uncles. Although he moved away, the family kept in touch. He really missed his father, Carlos Sr., and would reminisce the times he had with him and yearned for his love. Now he is with him, up in Heaven. He is there to be with his family that have left before him and we know that they are taking care of him for us. We will miss him and we know that he is now our Guardian Angel. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, AZ
