Candice Rae Riley

July 6, 1982 — February 22, 2023

Candice Rae Riley was born on July 6, 1982 to Linda Ann Blom and David Melvin Hannah Jr.
She was raised by her mother as the baby of the family along with her sister Tracy and brother
Michael. Linda remarried Chuck Blom and Candice became the middle child after her parents
welcomed her brother Patrick and then sister Samantha into the family.
Candice met the love her of life Gregory Riley, when she was fourteen years old. They were
very young when they had their son Jacob Michael. Although she was young and motherhood
was new and unknown, Candice was an amazing mother and her son became her main priority.
She graduated early so she could focus on raising him. As life went on, Candice and Gregg’s
paths headed in different directions. Candice was fearless and stubborn. When she set her
mind to something, there was no turning back. She and Jacob relocated to the Valley, where
they settled into their new life in the city. But as they say, true love will always find its way back
and as fate would have it, Gregg and Candice reconnected. They decided to give love and life
another chance. Candice and Jacob moved back to Globe to be with Gregg, who now had.
Angelo and Adriana. Family was extremely important to Candice and ensuring Jacob, Angelo
and Adriana grew up together was her main concern. A few years later came Audrey Ana
RaeLin and their family was complete. They married in 2008 and the rest is history.
Candice enjoyed her family life. Her children were the center of everything she was. She
devoted all of her time to them and wanted them to know how special they were to her. Her first
grandchild Nolan Brooks Riley was born on February 07, 2023 and although she was only able
to hold him for the first 2 weeks of his life, she loved him from the moment she knew he was on
his way into the world.
She loved to craft and was very creative. She and AudreyAna had a lot of fun doing this
together. Candice was an exceptional cook and baker. She took great pride in creating new
recipes and delighted in sharing these dishes with everyone she knew. Candice loved reading
and could get lost in a good book. But her reading didn’t stop there. She had a passion for
knowledge and loved to read up on anything she found intriguing. She also loved a good
debate. And for those who were close to her, they knew they had better come prepared
because she had already done her research and was locked and loaded with facts.
Candice was very stubborn and strong willed. After her diagnosis, she was not going anywhere
without a fight. She never gave up not even at the end. She fought to the very last moment
because that is who she was.
Candice Rae Riley was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. Her
memory will live on in the hearts of all the people she touched in the 40 years she was on this
earth.
