Billie J. Barefoot Sr.

Billie was born in Lampasas County, Texas to Birdine and Nettie Mae. He was the 9th child born of 12 children. Billie married Patricia in 1952 in Ozona, Tx. He was a devoted husband, father and Papaw to all his grandchildren. He loved them all, dearly!. Billie came to Globe in 1960 and went to work at Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company where he worked for 30 years and retired. He was a hard worker and loved to work. He was loved by everyone. Billie lived in the Globe, AZ area for 60 years, going back and forth to the Apache Jct, AZ area and to Valley Spring, TX area. Billie loved fishing, hunting, working in his yards and the gardens. In his later years he loved sitting on the porch and telling us stories of when he was young and growing up. Billie will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. Proceeded in Death: Billie Ward Barefoot, 9 brothers and sisters, and parents Birdine and Nettie Mae Survived by his wife Patria, daughter Phyllis Gapter (Jeff), Grandchildren Mistie Woods (Andy) Christie Valtierra (Albert), Tera Smith (Jake), Bo Barefoot, 21 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-great Granddaughter and 2 sisters – Leola Hamrick and Lythed Birge (Bob).
