Betty Jones

Betty Lee Jones was born on October 18, 1925 in Steubenville, Ohio to Oliver Hall Smith and Eva Madge Wass Smith. She passed away after a brief illness on July 29, 2019 at Hospice of the Valley Friendship village in Mesa, Arizona. She was 93 years old. Betty married Donald Porter Jones on December 27, 1943. Don, Betty and their three children moved to Globe, Arizona in September 1960. Don passed away in January 2005, shortly after their 61st wedding anniversary. Betty was a homemaker, whose hobbies were growing flowers and researching her and Don’s family tree. Betty is survived by her children: Terry Jones (Ellie) of Globe, Linda Duncan (Dan) of Mesa, and Jerry of Phoenix, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Judy Wencel of Orlando, Florida.   SATURDAY, AUGUST 3, 2019: VISITATION: 1:00 - 2:00 PM FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM AT LAMONT MORTUARY CHAPEL BURIAL: GLOBE CEMETERY - HACKNEY AVE. - GLOBE
