Barbara Gaona

  Barbara Jean “BJ” Lopez Gaona, age 70 of Globe, Ariz. passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at her residence. She was a native of Globe born on July 10, 1948. She was happily married to Michael J. Gaona for 32 years. Michael and BJ were inseparable – where you saw one the other was never far. They had a memorable life together. She enjoyed playing bingo with friends at the Senior Center, enjoyed shopping for jewelry, yard sales was a favorite, loved listening to music and spending time with family. She loved to make people laugh and enjoy themselves. She had a contagious smile/laugh and knew how to warm up a room.. She worked for Pinto Valley now BHP for 25 years! Although the family weeps, they are thankful she is with God and no longer suffering. We now have another “ANGEL” looking over us. Barbara is survived by her husband Michael J. Gaona; her brother, Carl Lopez; her daughters Gina Lopez (Sammy), Monica Lopez, Christian Cienfuegos (Frank); her grandchildren Richard, Rudy, Markus, Sabrina, Dominick, Desiree, Hans and Christopher; she also has 4 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Carl & Lola Lopez; sisters Esther, Bertha, Amelia, Linda and brother Danny. Services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Living Waters Church in Globe.   Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe
