Augustine Tsosie

Augustine Tsosie, age 52 was born in Phoenix, Arizona on September 13, 1971 to Richard Tsosie and Angelita Porter. He was raised by his foster mom Ferfillia Porter.

As a child he attended St. Charles School in San Carlos, Arizona. For middle school he attended Holy Angels School in Globe, Arizona and finished his High School years at St. Catherine's Indian School in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he graduated.

In his teenage years and for some time after High School, he worked as a cowboy with his Uncle Harvey for the Anchor Seven Cattle Association

Later he worked numerous years for the Apache Gold Casino as a Black Jack Dealer and became a manager. He also worked as a Tribal Gaming Inspector.

Augie the outdoors and going fishing and hunting with family and friends.

Augie is survived by his wife Rose Tsosie; his children: Kelsey Tsosie (Emery Walker) and Tevin Tsosie; biological mother Angelita Porter; his 6 grandchildren Kaiden Dillon, Dometria, Dominic and D'angelo Ramos, Isaiah Gooday and Tatum Tsosie; his aunt Lolita Bendle; his Uncle Henry Porter, Jr.; his nephew Geron Como; and Numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Augie is preceded in death by his daughter Angel Tsosie; his Foster Mother Ferfillia Porter; his father Richard Tsosie; his sister Amy Butler; his maternal grandparents, 2 uncles, and 2 aunts.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 4:00PM at the Tsosie Residence in San Carlos.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 1:00PM at Burdette Hall in San Carlos.

Interment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery in San Carlos.
