Arthur Wayne Mcintyre Sr.

Arthur (Art) McIntyre, Sr., passed away at his home in Globe, Arizona, on September 11th, 2023, at the age of 82. He was born on July 21st, 1941, in Clawson, Michigan, to his parents Arthur and Cora (Bethel) McIntyre. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carole (Benford) McIntyre, and their children; Melinda McIntyre of Meadville, Pennsylvania; Arthur McIntyre, Jr. of Oro Valley, Arizona; Michelle (John) Powell of Globe, Arizona; and Eric McIntyre on Globe, Arizona. Art also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his sister Elaine (Larry) Burns of Claypool, Arizona, and many other family members and friends.

Art moved his family to Globe, Arizona in 1976, and he worked for Inspiration Consolidation Copper Co. as a Security Guard at the main gate for many years. He retired from Freeport McMoran as a Chemist at the Rod Plant.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, served as a Sherrif’s Reserve Officer, and was a dedicated Scoutmaster. When his children were young, he actively participated in their activities, coaching and guiding them, and he continued to support and guide them throughout the years. He had a passion for interacting with others, including his friends at Central Heights Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.

Art was a good man and a gentle soul who held a deep love and affection for his family, particularly his beloved wife, Carole. His absence will leave a profound void in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him and experience his love.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for September 23rd, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. at the Central heights Baptist Church, located at 5468 S. Apache Ave. in Globe, Arizona.
