Alvera Reede

July 31, 1951 — September 15, 2019

After Alvera’s mom passed on, Margaret (Colson) Cook adopted her. Alvera attended Rice School, Theodore Roosevelt School, Fort Thomas Jr. High School. When she was in Fort Thomas she attended Clifton High School. Margaret took her to American Indian Church during her childhood. Margaret took her to camp meetings within the state of Arizona during summer vacation from school. Alvera enjoyed being with her cousins, relatives and neighbors. On weekends she liked to hang around Sunrise dances, school dances and walk on the trails of Seven Mile Wash while the full moon was out. Plus swimming during the three months of summer. If you would joyride with her she would always play her oldies. She was a homemaker for her family. She was preceded in death by her mother Rebecca Long and her husband Storen Reede Sr. She is survived by her daughters Lordanna Reede of Fort McDowell, Valerie Reede of Phoenix, her sons Storen Reede Jr. of San Carlos, Martinez Reede of San Carlos, Philton Reede of San Carlos, 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Wake will be on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at Alvera’ residence. Services will be on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. at Burdette Hall. Interment will be in Hilltop Cemetery.
