Alicia G. Garcia, 82, lifelong resident of Miami, Arizona went to be with our lord. She is the guardian angel to her family and friends. Alicia was born in Mesa, Arizona on November 7, 1938. She is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Julia Gonzales. Her husband Joaquin O. “Jimmy” Garcia and her brother Johnny Gonzales. She leaves behind her four daughters Dolores Gonzales of Miami, Angelita Jin of Ahwatukee, Consuelo Garcia of Tolleson, and Maria Moreno of Gilbert. Siblings Carlos Gonzales, Steve (Pedico) Gonzales, Leo Gonzales, Rick Gonzales, Bea Encizo, Virgie Mirro, Minnie Encizo and Margo Zaragoza. Nana to 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren with another one on the way. Many nieces and nephews. Alicia was well known through the town of Miami for her many years and dedication as the Director of the Senior Citizen Center. She put so much love into caring for each and every one of her seniors. She made the center a second home for them with different activities every day. She made every holiday, anniversary, and birthday special. She took so much pride in the center especially the pancake breakfast during Boomtown and the fiestas. She would also decorate the Senior Citizens van for the parades. Making sure all her seniors were involved and dressed up for their time to shine. She had many friends and there wasn’t a person she didn’t love to converse with. Her faith and dedication to the Catholic Church was undeniable. She loved her family so much, just shining when she would receive phones calls or visits. Family was everything to her. Including making her neighbor’s her family as well. Always cooking for them or buying little gifts. She would bless each and person as they would leave her house after visiting. To the point the little ones would walk up to her and wait to be blessed followed with a hug and kiss before saying goodbye. Always checking on her daughters, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and neighbors. She kept everyone in line. She was the trunk to our tree of branches. She would tell you like it was. Her stories, her famous food, “sexy legs”, voicemails, and love for dancing will be greatly missed. We find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and with all her loved ones above. Forever in our hearts beautiful angel. Dance your heart out, catch up, and fly high! We love you and save a dance for each and every one of us.
