Alfred P. (“Al or Fred”) Garcia, of Globe, AZ passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Hospice of the Valley in Gilbert, AZ. He was born to Antonio and Beatrice (Pena) Garcia on December 11, 1933 at Ranchito de Huepac, Sonora, Mexico. He was on of 8 children raised in Globe, AZ. Alfred married Mary Ioli of Globe, then went to serve his country in the Army and bravely fought in the Korean War. He was very proud of the United States Military and was a loyal lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, the VFW and The American Legion. After the war, Alfred and Mary settled in Globe where he worked at Sachs Motors, Esco’s, Cities Service and Pinto Valley. He retired as a shop supervisor from BHP Pinto Valley. His career choice overlapped into his own personal interest of cars and knew just about every make and model of car; all the way from the Model-T all the way to the Ford Explorer...and just about every car produced in-between. Alfred was preceded in death by his wife Mary I. Garcia, a son, his parents, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his seven children; Albert Dominguez, Reynaldo Dominguez, William Dominguez, Carmen White (Albert), Rosemary Robles, Teresa Bogdan (Pete), Debbie Sellick (Bob), fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, seventeen great-great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. He loved his community dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In lieu of any gifts, please make a charitable contribution in his name to: Holly Angels Catholic Church—201 S. Broad St.—Globe, AZ 85501. Visitation will be on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, AZ. Rosary: 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 A.M. at the Church. Interment in Old Globe Cemetery.
