Kathryn 'Marie" Jones

  Kathryn Marie Jones, age 87 of Globe, Arizona passed away with her kids by her side on January 29, 2019, at her residence in Globe, AZ.She was born in Winslow, AZ on June 25, 1931, the daughter of Roscoe and Helena (Bueter) Magee.Grew up and went to school in Winslow, AZ till her Junior years. She graduated from Winslow High School in 1949. She went to Texas and attended A & M where she graduated with a degree in business. She married her husband Roscoe in Denton, Texas. Kathryn worked as a secretary in the Legal Department of the State Hospital. She moved to Arizona in 1961 and worked at the State Hospital. She also attended A.S.U. and got her Bachelors and her Masters degree in Education. She later moved to Globe and taught at Globe High School for 32 years.Enjoyed traveling and working with her church. She was in the Altar Society and the Catholic Daughter of America. She also taught reading and writing to Hispanic women who wanted to learn English.Preceded in death by her parents Roscoe and Helena Magee and her grandson Michael Pena.Is survived by her children Doug Jones, Alice Bullman (Jimmy) Theresa A. Pena and her brother David Magee (Nickey) Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at 8:30 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in globe, AZ. Followed by Rosary at 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 at the church.
