James D. (J.D.) Riley passed away peacefully at home with his family on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on August 29, 1944. He went to school in Estancia, New Mexico, where he met and married Janie Norman on July 6 1961. They moved to the Globe-Miami area in 1965 and settled in Wheatfields, AZ. James went to work for Inspiration Copper Co. in September of 1965 and was moved to the Rod Plant when it opened. He worked there till he retired in April of 2002. He was preceded in death by his two children James Robert Riley and Billie Jane Riley. James is survived by his wife Janie (Norman) Riley, his sisters; Patsy Riley and Dorothy Green both of Estancia, New Mexico, five grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of very good friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel. He will be buried in Estancia, New Mexico at Estancia Cemetery at later date.
