Cayci Lee Vuksanovich

March 3, 1956 — May 12, 2018

Cayci L.Vuksanovich 62, of Globe AZ, left unexpectedly on May 12th, 2018 at Barrow Neurological institute in Phoenix AZ. Cayci was a lifelong resident in Globe, graduating from Globe High school and continuing her schooling at UofA. She graduated college with a degree in horticulture and animal science. She had a love for analog photography, and worked for a short time with San Diego home and garden magazine after college. Her favorite place to be, besides in dirt and soil, was Ocean Beach. She was a hippy at heart. After Cayci moved home she started every day off with a burst of energy on the radio discussing “Bee in the Garden.” Sharing knowledge of plants and animals was her favorite thing to do, and she became a master of it, AKA “Master Gardener”. She was a community leader who helped anyone and everyone without ever expecting something in return. Cayci ran her family’s business Matlock Gas along with her greenery & feed store. On weekends you could find her at the farmers market selling the colorful fruits and veggies the garden had produced. She was on school board for 10 years, majority of which she was president. Any extra time Cayci had would go to rehabilitating a multitude of animals, ranging from Shosh the black bear cub to Reno the tiny quail, if you can name it, Cayci had fixed it. She was a safe place for many, always having an ear to listen or a hug to heal. Cayci was brave and compassionate, honest and exceedingly loyal, protective and quick whited. She had an answer for most anything and a solution to everything. In many ways, Cayci was ahead of her time. Many of her dreams turned into adventures and she would leave a mark wherever she went. Cayci was a sensational human being and will be infinitely missed. She is survived by her husband Louis M. Vuksanovich, her daughter Makenzie C. Vuksanovich-Harder (Scott) her sister Cari A. Cunningham-Moulin (Ted) her brother Earl C. Cunningham II and brother Scott D. Cunningham. Cayci’s happiness was protected by all the amazing animals and people in her life, some of which she is loving on again. Cayci would not want any flower to die in her name. She was an avid donator to Koko the Gorilla. There is an account in Cayci’s name at Great Western Bank in Globe AZ, or a paypal account under Parnelii3v@gmail.com, all proceeds will be donated to Koko in Cayci’s name. There will be a grand celebration of life June 16th 2018 @ 11:30 at High Desert Middle School.
