Stephanie Smith

Stephanie Renay Smith, age 40 Valencia , of New Mexico passed away on November 5, 2017 at San Carlos Apache Healthcare in Peridot. She was born in San Carlos, Arizona on September 19, 1977, the daughter of Verna Smith and Arsenio Basaro. She was a crafts-maker and was self-employed. Stephanie attended Rice Elementary school, Ft. Apache Jr., High and Central High School in Phoenix, Arizona. She worked for an Airport Shuttle, as a landscaper, and as a chef at the Arizona State Fair. She moved to New Mexico in 2003. Stephanie loved to lend a helping hand and making people laugh. She is survived by her mother Verna Smith of Bosque Farms, New Mexico, daughters Savannah Sanchez of Mesa, Arizona, Angel Reano of Albuquerque, New Mexico, son Jacob A. Smith of Albuquerque, New Mexico, siblings Ershall Sign of Phoenix, Cecil Sign III of Scottsdale, Loren Miguel of Scottsdale, Bonita Medina of San Carlos, Kimberly Sign of San Carlos, Jackie Sign of San Carlos, Manuelita Smith of San Carlos and two grandchildren. Wake will be on Sunday, November 12, at 4:00 P.M. at the Jackie Sign residence in Peridot. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at San Carlos Miracle Church Interment will be at Lower Peridot, Six Mile Cemetery.
