Cliff Earl Johnson, 92, passed away on September 6, 2017 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born in Lakeside, the eighth out of eleven children born to Flossie and Abe Johnson. In 1943, Cliff married the love of his life, Joyce Turner. He was drafted into the army during WWII while awaiting the birth of their first son Lanny, where he served in the European Theater and survived the Battle of the Bulge. After his discharge from the army in 1946, Cliff and Joyce went on to have 4 more sons, Danny, Royce, Nickey and Tracy, the lights of their life. He loved camping, hunting and fishing. He spent the majority of his life working for APS as a highly respected Plant Supervisor, most memorably for the Childs Power Plant, and took immense pride in the many achievement and safety awards he had received. He spent a total of 40 years in power operations and maintenance. Cliff and Joyce moved around quite a bit after his retirement in 1988; Eager, Wheatfields and Safford until finally settling in Catalina. Cliff lived his life devoted to his wife of 74 years and the family they created. Survivors include his beloved wife, "JJ" Joyce, sons Lanny (Meridith) Danny (Penny) Nickey (Margaret) daughter in law Kathy, brother Raymond Johnson and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his sons Royce and Tracy, and grandsons Mickey Johnson and Patrick Felkins. A viewing will be held on September 15, 2017 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Lamont Mortuary in Globe, Arizona, followed by a graveside service on September 16, 2017 at 1 pm at the Show Low Cemetery. He lived his life with integrity and love and will be dearly missed by all who knew him
