Maria Esparza Horta

Maria Esparza Horta passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on April 29, 2017. She was born in Miami, AZ on August 15, 1931 to Miguel and Pilar Esparza. It was there that she met her husband of 64 years, Jesus Horta. They had two sons, John and Mike. Maria was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, spending most of her life in the Globe/Miami area before moving to Gilbert and then Tucson. She is preceded in death by her eldest son John and survived by her husband Jesus, son Mike (Veronica) and grandson Andrew as well as her nine siblings; Eduardo Esparza of Globe, Trini Mawson (Dewey) of Globe, Herlinda Monarrez of Phoenix, Esperanza Cordes (Jim) Chandler, Alicia Avalos (Rudy) Tempe; Bertha Mansour (John), Phoenix; Maggie Northey, Colorado; Mike Esparza (Maureen), Scottsdale; Jose Esparza (Debbie), Chandler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sat. May 6, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami, AZ Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Church. Interment will be at Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens in Miami, AZ
