Doris Root

Doris Marie Root, age 63, of Globe, AZ, passed away on Wed. March 22, 2017 at her residence in Globe, AZ She was born in Alliance, Ohio the daughters of Robert and Lulu (Fisher) Tafe. Doris was raised in Coopersville, MI and moved to Arizona in 1974. She worked for Jerry’s Restaurant as a waitress, and also for the Blue Ribbon Café and Globe Café. Doris was also an E.M.T. and worked for Canyon State Ambulance. Doris enjoyed being a full time Grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Lulu Tafe, and her brother Tony Tafe. Doris is survived by her daughters; Nicole Marie Mims of Globe, AZ and Lacey Jay Root of Flagstaff, AZ, her siblings; Mike Tafe, John Tafe, Trudy Jones, Ron Snyder, Kathie Osborn, Bill Glenn, and five grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel
