Raymond Allen

Raymond Allen age 58, of passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at his residence in Peridot, AZ. He was born in Globe, AZ the son of Raymond and Ophelia (Victor) Allen, Jr. Raymond attended Phoenix Indian School, played basketball and won many track awards. He also attended Eastern Arizona College and DQ College in Davis, CA. He worked as a Security Guard, also as Tribal Road Maintenance, at the Lake Store and had been a seasonal firefighter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing horseshoes, swimming and spending time with kids telling cultural stories with them. Raymond was very outspoken with a good sense of humor always telling a joke. He was known as “Brother Man” and liked giving people nicknames. Raymond is survived by his wife Beverly Allen, his children; Mingus Allen, Cynthia Allen, Sonya Lister (Nicholas) and Jerome Allen, his brother Anthony Allen and his sister Sharon Allen, 12 grandchildren. Wake will be on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. at Raymond Allen’s residence. Funeral Services will on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Peridot Baptist Church in Peridot, AZ. Interment at Upper Peridot Cemetery, Peridot, AZ
