Alexander "Alex" Cameron

Alexander Anderson Cameron Jr. Age 85 of Globe, AZ passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 peacefully at home. He was born in Bear Creek Montana on February 12, 1931. Alex was preceded in death by his parents Alexander Anderson Cameron, Sr. and Jessie Evelyn Freeman brother Ronald Jack Cameron. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dixie Lee Cameron of Globe, daughter Marjorie Ann Cameron Weizel of El Mirage, sons Scott Alexander Cameron of Globe and Paul Anderson Cameron of Gilbert, his sister Jessie Evelyn Mourich (husband Sam) of Billings, Montana, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Alex and his wife Dixie moved to Globe in 1957 after which he was employed by the Globe School District as the Wood shop Instructor at the Globe High School for 32 years. He also coached Globe High Football and Basketball. Alex enjoyed making various projects out of wook, enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed being around family and friends. Alex was always willing and able to help anyone in time of need. Alex was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Viewing for Alex will be at the Globe LDS Stake Center on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. Services will follow at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be at Globe Cemetery after the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LDS Missionary fund.
