Sara H Garcia

Sarah Garcia, Age 86, Entered into rest on January 14, 2017. She was born May 2, 1930 in Superior, AZ to Manuel and Sara Hernandez. She was the 7th of 13 children. She was just a baby when they moved to Miami, AZ. When she was 14 she met the love of her life, Frank Garcia. They were soon married and immediately started their family. They had a total of eight children, two boys and six girls. She was a noble and caring housewife and remained in Miami for her remaining lifetime. Anyone who knew Sarah, knows that her purpose in life was to take care of her family; and that was not limited to just her husband and children, She had an open door policy for everyone. In fact, you were not allowed to leave until your belly was full and she gave you her blessings. She was a very generous woman, full of integrity. Sarah was a women of strong faith, which she passed on to her family. Even when she was no longer physically able to attend mass, she continued to practice her faith at home. She always had her bible at her side and continually thanked and praised the Lord. Her love for family and her devotion to her faith was something for all of us to strive for. She was preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Sara Hernandez, her husband, Frank Garcia, 10 siblings, and her grandson, Matthew Bejar. She is survived by her brothers, Egnacio and Salvador Hernandez; her sons Frank Garcia, Jr. (Carol) and Manuel Garcia (Yolanda); her daughters Victoria Lazoya, Gloria Herrera, Alice Bejar (Charlie), Benita Garcia, Corina Chacon (Reyes), and Lillian Kolinek; 22 grandchildren and many great, and great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services were held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Miami, AZ
