Empey Newton Norman age 87 of Cutter, Arizona passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in Globe. He was born in Rice, Arizona on December 17, 1928, the son of Minnie (Galson) and Benjamin Norman. Empey attend Rice Elementary School and San Carlos Junior High School. He worked as a Crusher Operator for Magma Copper Company (Pinto Valley) and at the Regal Mine at Seneca. He was always active and didn’t like to be idle. He enjoyed crossword Puzzles being outdoors and fixing cars. Empey was preceded in death by his parents Minnie and Benjamin Norman, sons Willie Norman, Randy Norman Sr., Mark Norman, Avery Norman, daughters Lillian Narcisco and Margie Wright. He is survived by his wife Virginia (Thorne) Norman of Cutter, sons James Norman Sr. of San Carlos, Christopher Norman of Whiteriver, Phillip Norman of San Carlos, Fred Norman of San Carlos, daughters Vivian Phillips of San Carlos, Jennifer Norman of San Carlos, 40 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. Wake will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Norman Residence at 4:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Burdette Hall. Interment will be in Northgate Cemetery.
