Rosie Cassa age 95 of San Carlos, Arizona passed away on August 27, 2016 at Friendship Village in Tempe, Arizona. She was born in Winkleman, Arizona on October 12, 1920 the daughter of Sally (Noline) and Jim Wiley. Rosie attended Phoenix Indian High School. She enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) as an Automotive Equipment Operator 1943-1945. She worked as a Dietary Supervisor for Indian Health Services, and retired from Federal Service. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and always was active in her children’s activities (Girl Scouts), then later in her Grandchildren’s and Great-Grandchildren’s activities. She enjoyed attending basketball games. Rosie was a big sports fan and loved watching all sports. She served her country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents Sally (Noline) and Jim Wiley, Stepfather Robert Hooke, her Husband Allen Cassa, her children, Infants Adolph Cassa and Irene Cassa, Robert Cassa, Bradley Cassa and Naomi Newman, her grand-children Bradley Cassa Jr., Willard Cassa, Buck Kitcheyan Jr., and her great-grand-daughter infant Nilinda Ben. She is survived by her daughters Geraldine Kitcheyan of San Carlos, Nella J. Ben (Leon) of Peridot, Charlotte Cassa-Polk (Samuel) of Peridot, sons Sanford Cassa (Beatrice “Jeanne”) of San Carlos, Karl Cassa Sr. (Verna) of Peridot, Allen Cassa Jr. (Irene) of Whiteriver, Anthony Cassa (Karen) of Peridot, 25 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren. Wake will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at the Cassa Residence. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Charles Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will be in the San Carlos Veterans Cemetery.
