Clinton Wade Wallace

October 13, 1930 — July 21, 2016

Clinton “WADE” Wallace, age 85, passed away Thursday, July 21 at his home in Miami, AZ. He was born on October 13, 1930 in Big Valley, Mills County, Texas to parents Ruby “Tommie” Renfro Wallace and Ellis Wallace. He was preceded in death by parents, his wife of over 60 years Gladys Butler Wallace, his son Sean Wade Wallace and his brother Ellis Eugene Wallace. Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Carla & Jerry Alexander of Miami, AZ, his sister Pat Baldwin & husband Howard of Globe, AZ. Wade doted on his 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren. Wade moved with his family from Texas to Arizona in 1936 and lived the majority of his life in the Globe-Miami area, attending schools in Miami. He worked mostly as an auto parts salesman at Cobre Valley Motors and ended his career as a heavy duty mechanic for Blue Bird Mine. He & Gladys also had a cabin in Young, AZ & spent many happy times there, as well. Wade loved and enjoyed his family, extended family & an abundance of friends. To call him a “jack of all trades” would not do him justice. He was creative & innovative & could do anything he set his mind to and do it well! He was an expert gun smith, including re-loading and creating custom gunstocks from a mere block of wood. He excelled at carpentry, gasoline & diesel engines & wood-working just to name a few of his skills. He loved the outdoors & was an avid hunter & fisherman in his younger years. Wade leaves behind a beautiful legacy in that the mention of his name brings a smile to anyone who knew him. Many people are lucky to own some of the treasures he created in the magical place called his shop. Wade’s sense of humor will continue to make us laugh as we remember his silly words, funny phrases & irreverent view of life. He was loved by many & his passing will leave an empty place in our hearts forever. As Wade would always say when we said good-bye “Y’all be sweet”… Per Wade’s request there will be no services.
