Larry Carter

April 21, 1943 — July 7, 2016

Larry James Carter passed away at Banner Baywood Hospital on July 7th, 2016. He was surrounded by family and loved ones and is at peace with his Lord. Larry was born in Ione, California, on April 21st, 1943, to Albert and Louise Carter. He was the second of five children. Larry attended Miami High School, served in the U.S. Navy during Viet Nam, worked as a pipefitter/welder in the construction trade as well as the copper industry. Larry was a very hard worker and took great pride in his work; he loved to work with his hands. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Larry is survived by his wife, Lynda Carter, his daughter Jessy Perkins (Mike), and grandson, Drayten. Also, his sisters, Etta Johnson (Joe) of Globe, Mary Goodman (Bill) of San Tan Valley. Larry was preceded in death by his dad, Albert J. Carter, his mother, Mable Louise Carter, his sister, Sally Webb, and his brother, Bill Carter. Memorial services were held on Sat. July 23, 2016 at River of Life Church in Central Heights, AZ In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to High Desert Humane Society, 150 West Mesquite Street, Globe, Arizona, or River of Life Church, 5667 East Golden Hill Road, Globe, Arizona.
