Mike J. Schiefert was born in Cudahy, Wisconsin on August 23, 1974 to John and Cheryl Schiefert. Mike died in his sleep on May 8th, 2016 after wishing his mom a Happy Mother's Day. He was 41. Mike spent his early life in Union Grove, Wisconsin attending Union Grove Elementary, Middle and High School. After the death of his mother he moved to Miami, Arizona and graduated from Miami High School in 1993. After high school, Mike was involved with the Central Heights Fire Department. He worked many years at Walmart, and the last year and a half at Auto Zone, making friends along the way. Mike had a special place in the lives of his niece's CJ and Tristan, and was Uncle Mike to many of their friends too. He mentioned the day before how proud he was of all of his nieces. Mike is survived by his dad John (Renata) Schiefert and two sisters Lisa Schiefert (Keith Aguglia) and Amy (Mark) Murdoch. Nieces Julie Mayhew, CJ and Tristan Aguglia, and Paige Murdoch. Grandmother Shirlee Kramer and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by his mother Cheryl, grandparents Joseph and Maxine Schiefert, and Grandfather Byron Kramer, as well as great grandparents Arnold and Delina Ellingson, Lyle and Josephine Kramer. There will be a memorial service in Miami at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church across from Fry's Drug Store on Saturday, May 14th, 2016 at 11 am. Following this service, a light lunch will be served. Later in June, Mike will be laid to rest with his mom at Rock Church Cemetery in Livingston, Wisconsin.
