Sherry Thompson

Sherry Lynn Thompson age 70, of Miami, AZ passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Haven of Globe, in Globe, AZ She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on March 30, 1946, the daughter of Ralph Eugene and Marjorie Etta (Sheets) Grimes. Sherry was raised and schooled in Globe, AZ. She graduated from Globe High School in 1964. Later she homesteaded in Alaska for ten years. She and her late husband Hal were caretakers of Coon Creek Ranch. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sherry enjoyed camping, fishing, crafts, sewing and traveling. She loved to spend time with family and friends. Her love and memories will live on through each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Marjorie Grimes, her husband Harold (Hal) M. Thompson, Sr., her brother Michael Grimes and her grandson Harold Thompson III. Sherry is survived by her children Kimberly Cox, Hal Thompson (Marie) and Ray Bird, her brother; Steve Grimes, seven grandchildren and 9 Great grandchildren. GRAVESIDE SERVICES WILL BE HELD FRIDAY, APRIL 15 AT 11:00 AM AT PINAL CEMETERY IN CENTRAL HEIGHTS. DONATIONS ARE SUGGESTED TO THE PARKINSON'S FOUNDATION.
