Katherine Kenton

Katherine Kenton, age 87 of Peridot, AZ passed away on January 21, 2016 at Promise Hospital in Mesa, AZ She was born in San Carlos, AZ on May 30, 1928, the daughter of Wilford and Christina (Dewey) Kinney. Katherine attended Rice School. She lived in a Wickiup and enjoyed knitting and other arts and crafts. She made small Cradle Boards and Moccasins and sold them. She was known as “Miss Hollywood” because she always wore her dark glasses. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilford and Christina Kinney, her son Abraham Kenton, five sisters and three brothers. Katherine is survived by her daughter Juanita Holmes (Ralph) her sister Betty Kinney and her brothers; Tom & George Kinney all of San Carlos, AZ, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Wake will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at Ralph Holmes Residence in Hallelujah Square in San Carlos, AZ Funeral service will be on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Ralph Holmes Residence in San Carlos, AZ Interment will be at San Carlos Cemetery.
