Nelson Cobb

Nelson Willie “Ali” Cobb, age 69 , of Peridot, Arizona passed away on December 24, 2015 at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. He was born in Greenlee County, Arizona on October 7, 1946 the son of Levi and Lydia Cobb. He worked as laborer for construction. “Ali” grew up and was schooled in Fort Thomas, Arizona. He worked with the Tribal Housing, in the Lime Mine and at Cutter Sawmill. He loved to walk, run, chop wood, spend time with his grandchildren, most sports and spending time at the Casino. He was preceded in death by his parents Lydia and Levi Cobb. Ali is survived by his wife Novena Cobb of Peridot, children Alisha Cobb, Lisha Steele, Melissa Cobb, Novella Cobb, Felisha Cobb and Nelvena Cobb all of Peridot, James Dunn and Shawnee Porter of Seattle, Washington and 19 grandchildren, his siblings Brazie Cobb of Whiteriver, Audrey Cobb, Margie Kindelay and Ophelia Cobb all of Bylas. Wake will be on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Cobb Residence Funeral Services will be on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Stanley Hall in Bylas Interment will be at Navajo Point Cemetery in Bylas, Arizona.
