Bob Gonnie

Bob Gonnie, Sr. age 75, of San Carlos, AZ passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ He was born in Keams Canyon, Navajo Nation, AZ on March 29, 1940, the son of Hosteen and Caroline Gonnie Begay. Bob was a kind, humble, knowledgeable and very traditional man who loved to help anyone in any way he could. He was always there for his family and friends. Bob was a hard-working man throughout his life time. He was a very inspiring individual who gave great advise and life lessons to many people. He also was an outgoing and funny man who always had a way to make people laugh. He had such a positive outlook of life. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, may he rest in peace. Bob is survived by his wife Lorraine (Harris) Gonnie, his children; Bobby Gonnie, Zellnor K. Bullis (Keith, Jr.), Aaron Gonnie, his siblings: Alice Ricehill, Donna, Irene and Eva Begay, Billy and Thomas Yazzie, Raymond Begay, Perry Gonnie, Nelson Begay and Dennis Begay, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Wake will be held Monday, October 26, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at the Gonnie’s residence in San Carlos, AZ Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Gilson Wash Community Center in San Carlos, AZ Interment will be at Upper Peridot Cemetery in Peridot, AZ
