Newton Slick age 88, of San Carlos, Arizona passed away on September 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Gisela, Arizona on march 7, 2015, the son of Marie an Dave Engle. He worked as a driller for Inspiration Copper Company. He attended school at the Phoenix Indian High School. He also worked while going to school to help support his siblings. He also worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the Roads Department. along with working at the Chrystal Mine in Seneca. He enjoyed sports especially football. He loved hiking, fishing and being outdoors. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. Newton was preceded in death by his parents Marie and Dave Slick, his wife Millie McIntosh Slick and sons Farrell and Landrew Slick. He is survived by his children Darrell Slick of San Carlos, Pascal Slick Jr. of Phoenix, Dinah Marie Slick of San Carlos, Angela Uptain of San Carlos and his brother Wayngar Slick of Whiteriver, Arizona Wake was held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at the Slick Residence. Funeral services were on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Gilson Wash Activity Center at 10:00 A.M. Interment was at the San Carlos Veterans Cemetery
