“GOLDEN COWBOY” LESTER DILLON December 29, 1930 – July 9, 2015 Lester Dillon was born in Old San Carlos on December 29, 1030 to the late Mae Wilcox Dillon and the late Loren Dillon. Lester grew up in Seneca. He attended the San Carlos Day School. Lester met his wife Ruth Randall and had three children: two girls and one son. Lester loved to tell about his travel to different states. He had a passion for being a cowboy. He enjoyed showing his grandchildren how to rope. Whenever visiting with Lester….He would worry about his daughters Lynette from Mescalero, New Mexico and Ester. He had a “Golden Heart” for his grandchildren: which made him a “Golden Cowboy”…. Lester had a friend who is a young man. His name is Dopnovan Ross. Donovan use to bring a plate of food, wood and just check on Lester or visit with him. Lester is survived by : Daughters Ester Starr (Solomon Sr..), Lynette Torres (the late Deverne Torres Sr.) and son the late Burnette Dillon. He had three sisters, the late Gloria Dillon Phillips, the late Ann Dillon, the late Dora Belvado and one brother the late Sonny Dillon. He will be missed by all who knew him.
