Laura Wantland

Laura Wantland, 99, passed away on April 30, 2015 at her home in Globe. She was one of nine children born December 23, 1915 to Encarnation and Julio Blanco in Miami Arizona. Laura married Loren R. Wantland December 25, 1933. They had four children, Leo (deceased), Larry of Globe, Lorraine Sanders of Show Low and Loren of Cottonwood. She was also survived by a Sister Carmen Slough and Brother Tony Blanco of Globe, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Laura was active in the Pinal Mountain Emblem Club 554 for many years and was a past President. She loved people especially family and had many friends. She loved fishing, bowling, gardening, playing cards and going to the Casino. She is most remembered for her work at CarmEds and Nob Hill Grocery. She will be missed by all. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
