Ollie Fletcher

d. April 11, 2015

Ollie Lou Fletcher 87 of Globe, Arizona fell asleep in death April 11, 2015. She was born on March 12, 1928 in Brownwood, Texas the daughter of Raymond and Emma Baker, the oldest of 3 children. In 1941 she became the girl next door to her future husband Carl Monroe Fletcher; they married August 3, 1945. They celebrated 69 years of marriage, with her still referring to Carl as her lover boy with a chuckle. Ollie was a full time homemaker and mother of 5 boys whom she survived with her great sense of humor. She always had a big pretty smile and a song. Her love for the great outdoors was shared with her family on many a camping trip. She was a woman that always appreciated a bouquet of flowers and good food. In 1950 she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Because of her great love for God’s creation she appreciated and looked forward to the time described in Isaiah the 35th chapter when the earth would be restored to a paradise. She did not fear death her hope was to have life again on earth as promised by Jesus in John 5: 28, 29 “in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Her family looks forward to seeing her soon on a PARADISE EARTH. She dearly loved her eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. They were a part of her daily life. She is survived by her husband Carl, 5 sons: Val (Armida), Phillip (Lynn), Dale (Cindy), Christopher (Lisa L.), Keith (Lori) and one sister Jean Wardlow of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brother Charles Baker and Grandson Travis Fletcher. She requested no formal services.
