Amelia Jane Key, age 76, of Peridot, AZ passed away on February 21, 2015 at Haven of Globe Nursing Home in Globe, AZ. She was born in Valentine, Arizona on July 23, 1938, the daughter of Ralph Rogers and Bessie Chickapanyja Rogers. She was raised in Supai Village at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. She was a hard worker all her life. When she lived in Chicago she was a nurse’s aid for ten years. After moving back to San Carlos she helped as a teachers aid at St. Charles Catholic School, SWFF Wildland Fire Fighter, and an entrepreneur starting her own food vending business. She enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved cooking and was well known for her Tamales which she sold at her vending stand with other delicious foods. Amelia is survived by her husband Calvin Joseph Key, her children Kenneth Key (Karen), Berdella Harrell (Tim), Denise Cikotte (Robert), Isaac Key, Kimberlene K. Martin, Rachel K. Pike (Archie), her siblings; Naomi Williams, Vivian Wascagomi, Delbert Rogers, Evelyl Rogers, and Genevieve H., 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Wake will be Friday, February 27, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at Calvin Key’s residence in Chinatown, AZ. Funeral services will held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Charles Catholic Church in San Carlos, AZ Interment will be at Chinatown Cemetery in San Carlos, AZ
