Lifetime resident Philip Dean Gordon passed away quietly December 16, 2014, with family by his side. A graduate of Globe High School, he attended BYU where he met his wife Nelda. They were married 56 years. He was employed at Inspiration Copper Company and eventually retired from Phelps dodge in 1997. He served in many callings as a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Miami Ward. He worked with the Boy Scouts for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, fishing, gardening, always had a project and loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, David and Donald Gordon. He is survived by his wife Nelda, children David (Odessa) of Miami, Danel (Robert) Mawson of Miami, Duane (Debbie) of Gilbert, Darrin (Marcie) of Millsboro, DE, and Dustin (Cindy Jo) of Logandale, NV., 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sat. December 20, 2014 from 9:00-10:00 A.M at the Relief Society Rm. Claypool, Ward. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Claypool Ward. Interment will be at Globe Cemetery.
