Olga Barragan, 89, went to be with our Lord on Saturday November 1st 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 2nd 1925 in Miami Arizona to parents Anita Organ Armendariz and Manuel Armendariz. She had three sisters, Lily, Sophie, and Irene, and brother Manual. She married David A. Barragan, the love of her life, on July 10th 1943. They were married over 52 years until David passed away. They had four children, JoAnn, Christine, David, and Kathy. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband David, daughter JoAnn Castaneda, grandson Robby Castaneda, sisters Lily Alday and Sophie Gutierrez, and brother Manny Armendariz. She is survived by daughter Christine Dzera (John), Miami Arizona; son David M. Barragan, Miami Arizona; daughter Kathleen Martinez (Jerry), Chandler Arizona; sister Irene Lucero, Scottsdale Arizona; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends. She loved her home town of Miami, working at Becerril's Grocery Store, teaching catechism, and always rooting for the Miami Vandals. But she got the most joy out of being a homemaker. Dinner at her house was an everyday event and everyone was welcome. Although she will be deeply missed, we rejoice in the blessing that she is now reunited with her love. Services will be held on Friday November 7th 2014, starting at 9:00 am at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Miami Arizona. Burial will be held following mass at the Globe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church.
