Larson Hanna Chatlin, age 73, of Peridot, AZ passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Hospice of the Valley in Mesa, AZ . He was born in San Carlos, AZ on April 29, 1941, the son of Mark and Madeline (Logan) Chatliln. He was a lifelong residence of the San Carlos Apache Reservation. He attended Rice Day School and graduated from St. John’s Catholic Mission High School in St. Johns, AZ. He worked as a cowboy in his younger years and was employed with B.I.A. Roads. His last employment was with the Arizona Department of Transportation as an Engineer/Surveyor. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, attending family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Chatlin, his son Troy D. Chatlin, his daughter Beatrice Chatlin, his brothers; Fletcher Chatlin, Sr., Matt Allen, Felix Allen, Andrew Allen and Bronson Chatliln, his sisters; Virginia Allen and Geneva Dennis. Larson is survived by his children; Larson Foster, Velma S. Chatlin, Hortensia Roy, Johanna Dillon, J.B. Mark Chatlin, Lorinda Galson, Thomas Patten, Annette Ayze, Lynette Patten, Charles Patten, Derrek H. Chatlin, his brothers; James Hanna Chatlin, Knuston Chatlin, McFarland Chatlin, his sister Vada Bendle, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and four goddaughters. Wake was held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Larson Chatlin’s residence in Peridot, AZ. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 7:00 A.M. at St. Charles Catholic Church in San Carlos, AZ Interment will be at Holy Ground Cemetery in San Carlos, AZ
