Lola Mattie Hogan

Lola M. Hogan, age 88, of Globe, AZ passed away peacefully at her home on Wed. June 11, 2014. She was born in Hidelsberg, KY on October 7, 1925, the daughter of George and Jennie (Nunnley) Gabbard. Lola married Jack Smith, the father of her 11 children. They were married for 28 years. She later married the love of her life Robert “Hogie” Hogan. They were married for 15 years until his passing in 1982. They enjoyed going out dancing. She enjoyed being with her family and going to church. She loved to sing, play her guitar and cooking for her family. Lola liked being outdoors, enjoyed fishing and taking long walks. She was preceded in death by her first husband Jack Smith and her second husband Robert Hogan. Lola is survived by her children Carolyn “Sue” Osterman (Don), Jack Smith (Jo Lynn), Peggy Davis (Bruce), Charles Smith (Ann), Lola Grenert, Janice Smith, Delsie Heckman (Steve), Brenda Contreras (Steve), Tom Smith, Mary K. Christopher (Tom) and Troy Smith (Joanne), 28 grandchildren, 45 Great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, nine stepchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Services will follow - Monday, June 16, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, AZ.
