Gertrude Shirley Vezzetti

GERTRUDE SHIRLEY VEZZETTI passed away 15 days short of her 91st birthday at Emeritus Rest Home in Mesa, Arizona on march 14, 2014. She was preceded by her father Harry Scott, mother Nellie Scott, the father of her children John Calvin Vezzetti, her sisters Virginia, Harreir, Forothy, Mary Lue, and daughters Darlene Vezzetti and Susan (Vezzetti) Beruman.   Shirley left behind her younger brother William (Bill) A Scott, wife Pat, children Renee and Steve of Van Buren AR and her son John Vezzetti of Midland City, AZ.Shirley had six grandchildren: Monica (Vezzetti) Hallock, Selina (Vezzetti) Olesen, Pete Vezzetti in AZ Rodney Greigo at Florence, AZ Theresa Beruman in Lafayette LA and James Beruman in Wyoming(?).   Six great-grandchildren; Justin Hallock, Weston Hallock, Devon Olesen, Yazmina Vezzetti, Vincent Vezzetti, Zachary Vezzetti, Veronica Vezzetti.Shirley worked as a waitress for Peg’s Kitchen for manuy years. She was a lifetime member of the American legion Auxiliary Post #4. Shirley and the dedicated women of the Auxiliary post prepared countless meals for any and all functions. Every Veterans Day, Shirley would religiously put flags on the veteran’s graves in town.   Shirley served in the Navy as a Pharmacist mate third class form October 1943 to December 1945.   A celebration of Shirleys life will be held at the American Legion Auxiliary post #4 in Globe Arizona on April 2 at 11:00 A.M.
