Doretta Stands

Doretta Ann Stands age 56, of Peridot, Arizona passed away on February 11, 2014 at Copper mountain Inn in Globe, AZ She was born in San Carlos, AZ on February 6, 1958 the daughter of Virgil and Louise (Martin) Edwards. She attended Rice Schools and graduated from Globe High School. She worked as a cashier at Noline’s Country Store. She loved watching softball, shopping for deals on the Internet and watching “Do It Yourself” shows on T.V. Doretta was very talented and she like helping her husband make Native crafts. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed being with her family and spending precious time with her grandchildren. Doretta is survived by her husband Kelly Stands, her son Stephen Edwards and her daughter Cali Stands all fo Peridot, AZ, her sisters; Gloria Edwards, Evelyn Opitz and Carolyn Kidde, her brother George Edwards, 8 grandchildren. Wake will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. at Kelly Stands residence Peridot, AZ. Funeral Services will be Sat. February 22, 2014. At 1:00 P.M. at Burdette Hall in San Carlos, AZ Interment will be at San Carlos Cemetery.
